Take Google’s account security checkup & get 2GB of free Drive storage

Who doesn’t want extra space for their stored documents & media on their cloud services? Well, now you can as Google is offering 2GB of Drive storage for free today. As today is Safer Internet Day which is meant to promote safe, responsible, positive & secure usage of technology & smartphones, Google is giving away 2GB of Drive space today to users who will go through their brief account security checkup. The checkup will take couple of minutes to review things like your contact information, logged in devices, two-step verification settings, account recover information & which apps have access to your Google account. Once you’ve finished reviewing you’ll be rewarded with a permanent 2GB of Google Drive storage, but keep in mind you might not get it immediately.

A similar promotion was run by Google last year too, & the good news is those who claimed the storage last year can also get 2GB of free space in Google Drive this year too. Last year they gave a window of 1 week to complete the security checkup. It hasn’t been mentioned how much time do we have this year, so act fast before you miss this chance to earn extra storage on Drive.

Google has always put high emphasis on security. Most people now a days use a Google account so it is natural for the tech giants to take constant steps for the betterment of their consumer users. These types of promotional giveaways are always a great gift for their users.
