Pentax has launched a very portable DSLR named the KP. It has a classic look to it with the gripping body texture and edgy finish. Fine look if you ask me. The specs are not that bad either.
It is a 24MP APS-C camera that can shoot at ISO 819,200. Now that is a good sensor. You will probably get very good low light or even a dark scene photos with it. You also get 27 autofocus points and 5-axis in-body image stabilization. It can take 7 still images per second and shoots 1080p videos. It has few other basic features like a Weather sealing, Wi-Fi, and also a tilt-out touchscreen display.
The Pentax KP has a price tag of $1,099 for just the body. So no additional lenses or any other gear. It is not a premier camera but it is a good camera. So if you really just want to take good photos and not criticize them a lot then this is a good fit. The Pentax KP is going to launch on 25th February around North America. No news on an all around the world launch.
