Nikon Launched The New D7500 DSLR With A Price Tag Of $1,249.95

Nikon just launched the new D7500 DSLR. This is a successor to the D7200 DSLR. The D7500 is a mid-range DSLR with a number of upgrades that takes it closer to a more expensive choice in the shelf – the D500. Let’s see what the D7500 is bringing to the table.

The D7500 has a 20.9 MP DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 5 image processor. This is the same sensor user in the D500. So right off the back the quality of photography is a lot similar. In burst mood it can shoot up to 8 frames per second, 50 images in RAW and 100 images in JPEG. It has a 51 point AF system including a 180K RGB metering system. The RGB metering is also the same as in the D500.

The D7500 can shoot 4K UHD video. Also you can shoot 4K UHD time-lapse movies in it. Video files are stored as MOV or MP4 files with a 1.5x crop. But if you connect the camera to an external device using HDMI then you can get the uncut video directly while shooting. You can also shoot 1080p videos featuring 3-axis electronic stabilization.

On the back is a 3.2 inch, 922k dot touchscreen display, in-camera batch process RAW converter, built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The body has a better grip and it is lighter than the D7200 and a lot lighter than D500.

The Nikon D7500 has a price tag of $1,249.95 for only the body. With an 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens the price tag stands at $1,749.95. It is expected to be out in the US market within this summer. No news on a larger launch.
