Lenovo just launched the Moto G5 Plus a few weeks ago in India. Now they are launching the smaller Moto G5 over there too. It is a cheaper version of the G5 Plus. The minimum to medium priced devices do have a high demand in this region of the market. So this is a good bet.
The Moto G5 has a 5.0 inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. It is pretexted by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. On the inside is a Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 processor with an Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 505 GPU running Android 7.0 Nougat. It has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage including 256GB of external storage support.
On the back of the device is a 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and an LED flash. It also supports 1080p video recording at 30fps. On the front of the device is a 5MP camera with an f2.2 aperture.
Some other notable features include a Fingerprint sensor up front right under the display. All of this is powered by a 2800 mAh Li-Ion removable battery. No USB type C though. It connects using a microUSB 2.0 port. But it supports fast battery charging, so that should make it a little faster. The Moto G5 is available in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold and Sapphire Blue. It is available exclusively on Amazon since 4th of this month with a price tag of INR 11,999, which is about $185. If the specs are good enough for you then this is a pretty good buy.
