Honor X3 to be released at CES 2016

Huawei maybe releasing their newest flagship the Huawei P9 at the CES 2016. But it is not sure yet. The Huawei P9 was supposed to be launched this year. Now we don’t really know if they are going to do it at the CES or not. But we do know that they are going to launch the Honor X3 tablet at the CES Las Vegas.

Two days ago Huawei released a teaser poster that showed a metal device. It had “Rhythm x Entertainment” written on top of it. From the posters we get some aspects of the device. It has a metal frame or a full metal body. The speakers on this thing is located on the sides. From the shape and the size of this thing this looks like the tablet we have been hearing about and thus gave us the indication of releasing the Honor X3 at the event.

From previous leaks we have been able to determine most of the key specification. Huawei may put in the same Kirin 950 chipset as their first flagship device the Huawei Mate 8. The Honor X3 tablet is rumored to have a 6.2 inch display with 2K resolution screen. Now Huawei has not been so kind when it comes to mobile screen resolution. They have never felt the need to put a 2K resolution display on a smartphone sized device. But Huawei might just make an exception with the Honor X3. Probably because of the 6.2 inch display. But I don’t know the fuss over it actually. I mean companies like HTC and Samsung has been bringing us 6 inch smartphone quite accurately now and some of the companies are shipping 4k displays on tablets now. So Huawei should get into the grove rather then tangle around it.

With the Kirin 950 chipset it I said to come out with a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. No news on expandable memory capacity. On the back of the device there should be a 20MP camera and on the front of the device an 8MP camera with sensor. The X3 tablet is said to be running on an updated version of Android 6.0 Lollipop.

Since the teaser almost confirmed that the llaunch is set for January 5th. We don’t have to wait too long to find out more about this device. The pricing details are still in the dark, but you can expect the tablet to post with a price of around $400.
