DJI just announced a new drone from the Phantom line and it is called the Phantom 4 Advanced. It has a lot of the features from the previous one named Phantom 4 Pro. Let’s look at the spec sheet for it.
The Phantom 4 Advanced has a 5.5 inch 1080p built in display. DJI claims that the display is brighter than the usual smartphone display for an easier outdoor use. So you should not have any problem with outdoor shooting. On the body of the Phantom 4 Advanced is a 1 inch 20MP camera. You can shoot 4K video at 60 fps. It has an internal storage of up to 128GB using a microSD expansion slot. The battery life on this is around 30 minutes.
The Phantom 4 Advanced is meant to directly replace the original Phantom 4, which DJI will stop selling when the Advanced releases on April 30th. The Phantom 4 Advanced has a price tag of $1,349. It also has a plus version with an integrated screen controller. The Phantom 4 Advanced Plus has a price tag of $1,649. DJI will exclusively start selling them on April 30th. With the release of the Phantom 4 Advanced DJI will stop selling the original Phantom 4. So a big step in the game for DJI. We will just have to wait and see if it pays off.
